# Travia — Pricing

Last updated: 2026-07-27

Travia (travia.ai) is a travel metasearch and two-sided booking marketplace.
There are two sides to price: travelers, and businesses that list on Travia.

## Travelers: free

**Travia is free for travelers. There is no platform fee, no subscription, no
membership tier and no paywall on the consumer side.**

- Searching, comparing, saving, messaging hosts, writing reviews, trips and
events are all free. No account is required to search.
- Stays and tours are confirmed **pay-at-property** today: you book on Travia
and pay the host or operator on arrival (cash, or a local wallet such as
eSewa/Khalti, depending on the host). Travia does not process card payments
for bookings yet — online card payments are still being rolled out.
- Travia's revenue on a stay booking is a **15% commission on the listed
nightly rate, deducted from the host's payout**. It is not added on top of
what the guest pays. Cleaning fees, taxes and any host-set service fee are
  pass-through to the host.
- Some tour/experience and car-rental listings include a service-fee line in
the booking total (5% by default; experience operators can configure their
own rate). It is shown in the price breakdown before you confirm.
- Prices are displayed in USD or NPR. Cross-currency display uses the official
Nepal Rastra Bank reference rate; the booking itself is locked in the
  listing's own currency.

## Businesses: three subscription plans

Any business can list on Travia for free. Paid plans add platform features.

| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Internal key |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Rs 0 / $0 | Rs 0 / $0 | `BASIC` |
| Pro | Rs 2,500 / $19 | Rs 25,000 / $190 | `PRO` |
| Max | Rs 6,000 / $49 | Rs 60,000 / $490 | `PREMIUM` |

NPR is the primary currency; USD figures are the catalog's own USD prices, not
a conversion. Yearly is roughly two months free versus monthly.

### Free — "Everything to get online and take bookings — free forever."

Listings, bookings, reviews, inbox, public business profile page, basic
analytics, photos, policies. There is **no cap on listings or bookings** on any
tier, including Free.

### Pro — adds

Reports (with CSV export), CRM, the B2B marketplace, promotions, schedule.

### Max — adds

Agents (B2B network), Developer Setting (white-label embed of Travia on your
own site), GIS coverage areas and nearby search, tracking/pixels, team seats,
priority support, ERP.

### Honest caveats

- **The tier catalog defines a search-visibility multiplier per plan (Free
1.0×, Pro 1.2×, Max 1.5×). It is not currently applied.** Tier ranking
enforcement is off by an admin setting, so search results are not weighted by
plan and no listing carries a sponsored/"Ad" badge today.
- **Every existing business is currently placed on the Max tier as a courtesy
while paid tiers are not yet live.** The feature lists above are the published
tier definitions, not restrictions that are being enforced in practice.
- Individual (non-business) hosts can list their space for free.

## How business plans are paid for

**There is no card payment gateway for subscriptions.** The only supported
payment path is a manual bank deposit with staff review:

1. From the business dashboard (Finance → Plan & billing), read Travia's bank
   details.
2. Deposit the plan amount to that account.
3. Upload the deposit receipt with the bank reference.
4. Travia staff review the request and approve or reject it, usually within one
business day. On approval the plan changes and the billing period is set.

Only one upgrade request can be open per business at a time. Pro and Max are
the only plans that can be requested; Free needs no request.
