Pathibhara Devi

The dashed line is the mapped corridor through the valley and its villages, not a surveyed footpath. The real trail switchbacks around it — treks are verified against the corridor, not metre by metre.

From Suketar above Taplejung along the ridge through Kafle Pati and Phedi to the Pathibhara Devi temple. A pilgrimage first and a trek second — the path is stone-stepped and busy on auspicious days — with Kanchenjunga filling the north-east horizon from the top. The same ridge is the first stage of the Kanchenjunga Base Camp approach.
