Who needs a visa
Most foreign nationals can obtain a tourist visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu) and at major land border crossings. Indian nationals do not require a visa. A small number of nationalities must apply in advance at a Nepali diplomatic mission rather than on arrival โ verify your case with the Department of Immigration before you fly.
Tourist-visa fees
Tourist visas are issued as multiple-entry for fixed durations. Indicative fees (US dollars, payable in major currencies or by card at the airport kiosks):
- 15 days โ about US$30
- 30 days โ about US$50
- 90 days โ about US$125
