How do hosts get paid?

Bookings are pay-at-property: guests pay you directly when they arrive, and every booking is tracked in your dashboard. Travia’s commission is billed to you on a monthly statement.

What is the difference between hosting as a person and as a business?

An individual can host a space for free from their own profile. Creating a business gives you an organisation with its own public page, a dashboard at /business/<your-slug>, team members with roles, and the tools for your vertical — stays, tours, cars or real estate.

How do I receive bookings?

Bookings appear in your dashboard under Bookings, and you are notified in-app and by email. Each booking carries the guest’s details and dates so you can confirm or decline it.

When do guests pay me?

Bookings are pay-at-property today: the guest books on Travia and pays you directly on arrival. Nothing is charged at booking time, so no card is held and no money moves through Travia for a stay.

How does Travia charge commission then?

Commission is accrued per booking and billed on a monthly statement, rather than deducted from a payment we never held. Each entry moves from accrued to invoiced to settled, so the dashboard always shows what is owed and for which bookings.

What does the channel manager do?

It keeps the rooms you also sell on other booking sites in one calendar with Travia, so a night booked elsewhere is blocked here and a night booked here is blocked there — no selling the same room twice. Open it from your hotel dashboard under Channel manager. It is part of the Pro and Max plans.

How do I connect a booking site?

Two ways. With a calendar (iCal) link: paste the site’s calendar link into Travia, and give the site Travia’s own calendar link for that room — this syncs dates only. Or with the channel API, which a connectivity partner integrates once and which carries full reservations (guest, room, dates and price), authenticated with a key and a signed request.

How often does it sync?

Whenever it matters: when a booking site fetches your calendar, when you open the Channel manager, and right before a Travia guest’s booking is confirmed — plus a daily sweep. A reservation that overlaps an existing booking is accepted and flagged as a conflict so you can resolve it.

Is guest data shared with the other sites?

No. The calendar Travia publishes contains blocked dates only. Reservations that come in from the channel API show the guest details the booking site sent, visible only to your team.

Who on my team can use it?

It follows roles: owners, property and general managers and hosts can connect, change and sync channels; front desk can view and sync; other staff can view only.

Who can leave a review?

Only a guest with a real completed booking. Reviews are booking-gated on purpose — it is why a rating on Travia means something, and why nobody can review a competitor.

Can I remove a review I disagree with?

No, and neither can anyone else — that is what makes the ratings worth reading. If a review breaks the rules you can report it, and our trust & safety team reviews it within 24 hours.

What do the plans actually buy?

How much of the business Travia Atlas is allowed to run on your behalf — not how many screens unlock. Each plan sets an autonomy level and a monthly allowance of Atlas work, and every plan includes the dashboard.

How do I upgrade?

Open Billing in your dashboard, choose a plan, and upload the receipt for a bank deposit. Our team verifies it and the plan switches over — you will see the request sitting as "Awaiting verification" until it does.

Does paying move me up the rankings?

Accepted Answer

No. Position in results is earned through real bookings and reviews. A plan buys Atlas capacity and a set number of promoted placements per month, which are labelled as such wherever they appear.

Can I add my team?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Invite colleagues from your dashboard and give each a role. Roles are permission-based, so a front-desk account can manage bookings without reaching billing or team settings.

How do I switch between my personal account and my business?

Accepted Answer

Use the switcher in the navigation bar. Your personal feeds and saved items stay yours and never mix with the business workspace, and switching does not sign you out.
